you are not the boss of me!

their are many ways to start a business. as a young person who wants to start a business could be difficult, because we don't know how to start. for three teens it is amazing to see them run and expand their business is great! in 1987, National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) helped four hundred students with their business. now, NFTE helps thousands of students and young people with starting a business. starting your own business, you first need to start off with something you like to do, or a hobby. then, figure out how to turn it into a business or how you could sell it. jasmine lawrence, 16,started with the NFTE program, she is the owner of EDEN bodyworks, a line of hair care and skin care products that are made from natural ingredients. for phoenix bess, 14, sells knitted items that she designs. kamarin lee, 17, started his business at the age of 14. his business is designing web sites. he started by teaching himself, and started with the program. this is something i would like to do, become my own boss, and have a business. it would be just great! this is something i would consider for students who would like to become a boss of their own company.

a freelance life

freelancers are people who work at home than in an office building. working at home has more responsibilities, because they are working for varies of companies as a technical editor. freelancers don't get paid twice a month, they are paid for every assignment they do. joshua fruhlinger has steps to becoming a freelancers. first you have to be in the right line of work. you can't just jump into your pajamas. potential clients look for evidence of your skills and experiences and to prove yourself. this means you need to have a regular job for starters. fruhlinger started off with a typical job, working at a publishing company. later, he managed to get clients by responding to want ads. "the most important thing is to know people in your industry who might need freelance help and who think highly of your talents," says fruhlinger. you also have to be forward about asking people to send freelance stuff in your direction. for the basic keys to freelancing happiness: be a good money manager, be a good self-motivator, be aware of the details. anyways this is about it. i can see myself sitting in my pajamas working without leaving home. i to would like a job in freelancing.

how to open for business

there are many ways to open for business. you could guess and fail, or you can go with the right way. state your business, figure out the type of business you would like to own. come up with a plan: details about your business, potential customers, competitors, and financing. incorporate or don't: register your company's name with the secretary of state in the state where you base your business. you will need to choose a business structure, which will affect how much you pay in taxes every year. three basic structures: corporation, partnership, and limited liability company. the crucial step is find funding: you can use your own money, traditional bank loan, friends and family, applying for grants, and angel investors. angels invest significant amount of money in start-up businesses, in exchange for a piece of the business and a role in its development. lastly, run with it. getting a business off the ground is the hardest step. promote and sell your goods or services, choose the right people to help you manage, and put in how much time it will take to make your business a success. studies show that in 2006, half a million small businesses were closed.

Building Sand Castles in Hollywood

the main point of building sandcastles in Hollywood is building television sets. Rob Neill compares them because after building sets they end up being torn down. for Rob the steps, he first start as a "hammer", ( a basic carpenter) for the tv show Babylon 5. his job position was to build the interior of a space station. after the show was canceled he moved to ER, where he was promoted to gang boss, he was responsible for five hammers. after a year, he was promoted as foreman, a project manager who breaks down blueprints and delegates work to the crew. after 6 seasons of ER, now he is working on the new tv show CHUCK. for this he is building a home electronic store. the job mainly requires skills that can be learned outside the industry. lastly for the job ladder is a construction coordinator, oversees all set construction and hire workers. Neill recommends being able to read a blueprint. i think that this article is good source for people who want to go into a field of construction, and don't mind working long hours and on weekends. it is an article that i like and it is very interesting. as everything goes up, comes down. now that everything starts, it must end.

Are Animal Actors Safe At Work?

At the end of every movie there is a sentence that states, "No animals were harmed in the making of this motion picture." To know that the animals weren't harmed, the American Humane Association is the only organization that can credit this to a film. Tonya Obeso makes sure that the animals are not harmed on the sets of Hollywood films. Tonya spent two years studying animal behavior at Moorpark College's Exotic Animal Teaching Zoo program. Now she puts all this to use as a certified animal safety representative. She not only supervises the big and furry, but the hissing and crawling (cockroaches). With a job like this it must be very exciting! If I could travel and still do my job that involves with animals, this is most likely the position i would pick. For my community and others i would consider that if animals and creepy crawlers is what they would work around and travel to do this, then this is a job for them!!!
